The Mill Is Open!

What Is "The Mill"?

The Mill is a new Central Massachusetts based basketball program to aid area players in skill development and work habits.  Central Mass Native Anthony Leonelli (with over 9 years of involvement in college basketball) will be the director of the program and he will be joined by area coaches.

Why Is It Called "The Mill"?

Mills were what built this country. Working 3 shifts 24 hours a day. They were uncomfortable and unforgiving places to work, but our nation was built by what came out of them. To be a player you must also be committed to working around the clock to get better, you must deal with being uncomfortable and deal with workouts that may seem unforgiving. We will take you- but you better be ready to work, there is no one to hide behind in "The Mill"

What Services Does The Mill Offer?

Our first program we are offering is a Sunday Afternoon skill workout at The Douglas Municipal Center in Douglas Massachusetts. We are doing a 5 PM workout every Sunday this fall (except October 9). The workout is only $5 (to aid in gym rental and maybe put a gallon or two in the coaches tank- no one's getting rich off this) the workout will be an hour of intensive skill work. It will be conducted like a college workout and will move quickly- be ready to be pushed.

In the future we will offer one on one training, directed pickup, developmental leagues, and more!

Who Is The Mill For?

Anyone serious about their game. Do not get caught up in skill levels. Whatever your hoop goal may be, whether it is making the varsity, being a starter, being All League or landing a college scholarship- The Mill will try to help you and push you in your pursuit.

However, be ready to work. These workouts will be conducted at a high intensity level and only last an hour- if that's the only hour you put into your game a week you will not improve.

Where Are The Workouts Held?

The Douglas Municipal Center. 29 Depot Street Douglas Massachusetts. Walk all the way around the front of the building to the door that says "early childhood center and gymnasium" the gym is in there!

What Should I Bring?

A will to compete and improve, and a basketball.

What If I Have To Miss A Week/Can Only Make One Workout ETC?

What Are They Saying About Coach Leo?

"Coach Leo's ability to motivate and get maximum effort from his players while keeping a fun atmosphere is second to none. He has a great knowledge of the game and a greater connection with his players both on and off the court. Not only is he the best coach I've ever had, he still remains one of my closest friends."

-Tood Doyle, Point Guard Leicester Warriors (English Professional Basketball League ), 2009 Commonwealth Coast Conference Player of the Year.

If you're looking to push yourself to be the best basketball player you can be, while getting better every single day both mentally and physically, Coach Leo is the the essential ingredient to helping you get that done."
